As the seasons change from winter to spring, and the temperature heats up, I’ve found myself at a bit of a loss for how to jumpstart my spring wardrobe. I like to look at each season as a new start — a new way to reinvent myself and my style. I followed trends closely to try and figure my style out, but I just couldn’t seem to find my new season voice. That was, however, until I found my Instagram inspiration. Bright colors popping out at me with high contrast and gentle pastels… this was the slap in the face I needed to redefine both my style and the season itself. So, I figured I’d let you in on a bit of the Instagram inspiration so that you, too, can feel born anew for the spring season. My loves as of late are two different Instagrams that give off such different vibes, but that I really feel like come together in my mind to make the perfect idea of spring style.
If you’re anything like me, you love loud colors that just scream fun. Also, you’re probably obsessed with ban.do. Well, if that describes you, then never, ever stress again. I honestly wish I could just surround myself in a tub full of ban.do products and, although I can’t, I can bathe my eyes in the Instagram of the director of social media, Christina Winkelmann. She’s my dream come true, and so is her Insta. #colorgoals

If you asked me what it was like to live inside cotton candy, I’d probably point you towards Maria’s Instagram. With pastel colors galore, and a real knack for photographing just the right details, her pictures make me think of strolling through a giant field of flowers in a maxi skirt in the warm spring air (um, give me this reality, please). With such interesting ideas and perspectives, Maria keeps me captivated and curious about what I can possibly draw style ideas from.
My Instagram inspiration may have come from two very different sources, but they are both pushing me towards a new sense of style for the upcoming season. I’ve never delved very deeply into bold, contrasting colors or light, gentle pastels, so I think both color schemes are going to be a brand new experience for me this spring.
