When I was in the late stages of elementary school/the early stages of middle school, headbands were my go-to. I would wake up, roll out of bed, throw on a t-shirt, and pop on a headband. It was the ultimate 5 minute morning routine. Looking back at myself now though, I have to cringe. I thought I was so cool! Headbands were all the rage, and I thought I was top of the trend. I was trying to be season 1 Blair Waldorf, but, instead, I ended up being the furthest from that that one can possibly be. I had no idea of the ways to wear headbands.
So when I heard that headbands were on the up-and-up again, I lost it. I couldn’t believe it! My absolute worst fashion nightmare from my fetus days was coming back to haunt me. It was karma for something; it had to be. How many ways to wear headbands exist anyway?! Yet, being the trendbandwagon-er trendsetter that I am, I decided to do some research on the back again headband trend. Here are 4 do’s and don’ts of wearing headbands (+ a bonus one)!
1. DO look for exciting patterns
DON’T stick to solids
2. DO reach for stretchy headbands
DON’T wear half-headbands 
3. DO go for headbands with interesting details
DON’T just buy plain stretch bands
4. DO wear your new accessories with any ‘do
DON’T only wear them with your hair in a bun
5. DO wear headbands whenever
DON’T only throw them on for bad hair days
